In line with Scottish Government guidance on close contact services, I've carried out a risk assessment and this page lets you know the procedures that will be in place to minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission.
Please read this information carefully before booking an appointment and if you have any questions, please get in touch and I will be happy to help.
Thank you and hope to see you soon!
When you book an appointment
When you book your appointment, you will be asked to provide an email address and contact telephone number.
To minimise appointment time, I now have online consultation and COVID disclaimer forms which can be submitted from any phone, tablet or desktop. The links will be emailed to you 24 hours before your appointment and they must be submitted
the day before your massage.
Please note that I will not be able to massage if these forms are not submitted. If I need any further information from you before your appointment, I will give you a wee call.
Please note that by completing the COVID form and booking your massage, you are also agreeing to your details being shared with Scotland's Test & Protect service if I need, or if I am asked, to do so.
Arriving for your appointment
Please arrive for your appointment on time (i.e. not early or late). I will give you my mobile number to text or call when you arrive.
Face masks are a mandatory requirement by the Scottish Government for close-contact services and MUST be worn at all times, unless you are exempt for medical reasons. I will be wearing a mask throughout your appointment. Ideally wear your own mask however I will have a supply available.
Gel stations are available on entry to the building and hands must be sanitised on arrival.
If you are a key worker please DO NOT arrive in your uniform / work clothes.
On the day of your appointment if you feel at all unwell or are in any way doubtful that you should be coming to your appointment, please let me know and we can rearrange - normal cancellation policy will not apply.
During your appointment
There will be a lidded box in the room for you to store your belongings during your appointment.
Disposable towels will be used for your massage where possible. As per usual hygiene procedures, all other towels / covers will be changed between clients and washed at 60 degrees for 60 minutes on a special hygiene wash.
I have a HEPA air purifier in the room however if you prefer I can also
open a window for ventilation.
Unfortunately at this time as face masks are mandatory, I am unable to provide massage in the high-risk zone around the mouth, nose and eyes (eastern face massage or holistic facials).
After your massage
You must sanitise your hands again before leaving the room.
Please bring your own water with you. I will have a supply of
small water bottles if you forget.
Please pay online when booking, via Paypal, bank transfer or I accept card payments on the day of your appointment.
There will be extra cleaning procedures in place and time will be scheduled between clients to ensure that the room is completely sanitised and well ventilated before the next appointment.
For your information and confidence, below is a copy of the risk assessment for Every Body Massage Therapy based on guidance from the Scottish Government and my professional body, The Scottish Massage Therapists' Organisation.
I hope that by putting these measures in place you will feel happy to come for a massage, be able to relax and enjoy your treatment!
